Boot 'em

I can’t believe I’m already starting my last bedazzled painting! This boot was one of my inspirations for starting this project, so it’s only fitting that I recreate it! I wanted to use a color that I haven’t used yet, so I went with blue. I downloaded the picture of the boot from etsy and removed the colored background using a computer program. Like the balloon dog painting, I printed the picture, cut it out, and pasted it onto the canvas. 

I decided to use 2 different sizes of blue gemstones and 3 different sizes of pearls to complete this design. Since there isn’t any gradience of colors, I wanted to create depth by strategically placing the different sized gems.
